In the
Shade of the Word
The goal and purpose of the MINI BIBLE COLLEGE (In the Shade of the Word)
radio program is to, as Pastor Woodward so often says, "My prayer and
desire is that the Mini Bible College will get people into God's Word and
God's Word into people. Because wonderful and miraculous things happen
when people get into the Word of God."

What makes these radio programs so special and practical is its unique
style and the fact that it is part of an integrated strategy to aid in the
development of healthy reproducing congregation. The style of the Mini
Bible College could be defined as devotional. It directs the listeners
reading and studies through the entire Bible and guides them into a deeper
relationship with God, with special emphasis placed on how to apply the
Bible to practical, everyday situations
What began as simple recordings in the early 1980's of the weekly Bible
study by Pastor Dick Woodward, now is a program which teaches the Word of
God around the world. Today all the program source material for the Mini
Bible College is Bible study courses developed by Rev. Woodward, who has
been a pastor for more than 40 years. His desire is that these programs
will deepen people's knowledge of Scripture and will lead the listeners
into making practical applications in their lives. The power of God
through His Word then changes their lives, their region and their country.
Today ICM broadcasts the Mini Bible College on over 160 different stations
to millions around the world, it has been translated from English into 21
languages and is aired over 820 times every week, with more languages in
development. The 22 Languages are English, Arabic, Banjara, Bengali,
Creole, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Khmer, Mandarin, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya,
Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Shona, Spanish, Tamil, Telegu, Ukrainian and
Vietnamese.
